Visiting Researcher
I recently joined the Mignot Lab as a postdoctoral scholar to investigate the autoimmune origins of type 1 narcolepsy. My primary research interest consists in deciphering the autoimmune mechanisms leading to the destruction of orexin-producing neurons in this disorder.
My academic background includes a degree in biology in Italy and a PhD in neuroscience in France. This training has equipped me with hands-on expertise in applying histological, cellular, and molecular biology techniques to the study of specific neuronal populations. I have focused on exploring the neurobiology of type 1 narcolepsy using mouse models alongside bioinformatics-based analytical approaches.
I am motivated by the opportunity to apply cutting-edge techniques and to develop innovative experimental protocols, challenges I’ve tackled before and I am excited to pursue further in this new chapter of my scientific journey.
